mp3s are huge. If you have a dial up, or slow connection,
please don't try to play them; it will be a frustrating

Scott May:
Mitch heard Peter Wolfe of the J. Geils Band....saying
"what a ride...and I'm Lost on the highway of
Love"....he got a kick out of that...so I came up
with this Jam and the verses...He sang the chorus and I
did the verses and the colored girl parts....Eddie had
never heard this song before...so as I went in to tell
him all its elaborate loops and twists...he impatiently
said..."Just do it"...bamm...check out that
intro lick he did...it was like he wrote the perfect
intro...if that wasn't enough the tag lines were great
too....the lead sends jolts up my arms...too cool....He
was amazing.....and just remember one take and it was the
first time he had heard the song! |

Here is a shot to hear
Eddie on Piano.....The Man could tickle the Bones for
sure.....he turned us on to this song in the mid
nineties....and it was my intro to that famous Elmore
James lick....we played this song for years...and I got
another lesson in the Blues. |

Scott May:
....what
blues jam would be complete without a version of this
song...notice the intro and imagine everybody
thinking...ummm what next....Eddie just kinda slides into
it...and we follow....thats how alot of our jams
were...those who might critique the song may think...well
the beginning is a little weak....but thats how it is
when you're just jamming for fun! |

Joe Cocker version....this was also
one of the first songs Eddie taught us....in fact I think
we played it at The Jeffersonton Community Center in
94......when we got together from time to time we would
like to warm up with the old and familiar...Eddie once
played the original version with the drummer to Bad
Finger....sadly I don't have a recording of that...I was
on the other side of the room playing bass and didn't hit
the record button. |

important you don't put an S on the word belong!!!! Aww
another strutin shuffle classic.....sadly we never did
The Funky Chicken(of Rufus fame) ....but we did do Cluck
You (Y&M see above) but Eddie did this song great...I

...."

new!" I wish I wrote that line...aww Robert
Cray....gonna take some memorizing to play a Cray
tune...Eddie learned that one and we hopefully did it
some justice...I have a number of versions along the
way......but I remember puttin some work into this song
...Eddie was a big Cray fan. |

Scott May: I loved Eddie's lead on this
song....everytime he would play it ...I kind of just
floated into another place...does that sound
weird...LOL..." Well I 'm going to take you on a
trip so far from here" I was trying to get into the
song..so go lay down! |
